At its public meeting on March 24, 2020, which was held remotely due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Westfield Board of Education unanimously approved the appointment of Dr. Paul Duncan as principal of Franklin Elementary School in Westfield, effective July 1, 2020.

The deadline for nominations for the 28th annual Charles Philhower Fellowship Award is Friday, April 3, 2020. The Philhower Fellowship recognizes an outstanding full-time elementary teacher in the Westfield Public Schools each year.
The Westfield Public Schools are celebrating the nationally acclaimed Youth Art Month with colorful and creative displays throughout the downtown area. Take a stroll through Westfield to view paintings, drawings and sculpture designed by approximately 350 students in the windows of local merchants.
