At its public meeting on March 24, 2020, which was held remotely due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Westfield Board of Education unanimously approved the appointment of Dr. Paul Duncan as principal of Franklin Elementary School in Westfield, effective July 1, 2020.
Washington School was recognized by the Westfield Board of Education as a 2019 National Blue Ribbon School. The celebration at the board meeting included this video tribute produced by Grade 5 teacher John Borja.
